A NONPROFIT INITIATIVE
THE CURRENT PROJECT:
HAITIAN BREEZE CAFE (PHASE 2)
Haitian Breeze Cafe is a small business owned and operated by Rony Pierre (photographed above) in Lèogàne, Haiti. It serves as a center for the community in the neighborhood where Rony lives and offers people quality, affordable food, cold beverages, and entertainment. The purpose of the Haitian Breeze Cafe mission has been to provide Rony and his team their own means to provide for themselves and to invest in their community. In October of 2018, Bob Rabbit and the team traveled from the U.S. to Haiti with funds raised via Kickstarter and oversaw the renovations of a space owned by Rony's brother, Odson, and purchased all the necessary equipment the business needed to begin operating. That trip is documented (see bottom of the page) in a 50min video directed by Bob Rabbit, filmed by Esteban Obregan, audio-engineered by Mitch Wenig, and assisted by Kevin Murphy. The past year has seen many ups and downs, but the cafe is still standing and continues to offer food and beverages to people from all over the area.
We have a mission planned for November to complete the construction and installation of all amenities and create a new movie about Rony Pierre, Haitian Breeze Cafe, and the story of his fight for a better life in Haiti.
GET INVOLVED AND COMPLETE HAITIAN BREEZE CAFE.
