Bob's been traveling to Haiti for years now, teaching English, working with Haitian musicians and Entrepreneurs to help them achieve their full potential as creators. For this LP, Bob used a small Tascam recording he got from his friend Nick a few years back to build up a quality repository of drum, vocal, ambience, and FX samples. He returned home and composed the majority of the music at Big Rob Studios in San Ramon, CA. Most tracks began with the samples he'd collected with an old Roland workstation, a Gretsch big Rob got, the bass Bob was given during a tour with Something Like Seduction, piano, and vocals to flesh things out. He then sent out rough tracks to a handful of artists and the ones that made moves got the tracks. At Hyde Street Studios in San Francisco, CA, with Will Chason, from the hours of 2200 to 0400 he and Will mixed down the drums for all the track with some seriously dope gear. From there it went to AZ with Bob to be mixed further at PJ's Studio during the summer on an old, often crashing computer. The situation here is reminiscent of the studios that have inspired Bob's work in Haiti. After much time battling against Resistance, the record was mastered by Bob and shipped to the market, where it's gone on to touch the hearts of millions, bringing tears of innocence to the cynical. It came out pretty good and all the people on it killed it. Older Rabbit Sound, serves as a quality transition to new SOUNDS and WAVES.
