RIPS 4 DEEZ was a bucket list endeavor-not for me, but for the homie Diesel the Dog. I'd met Diesel a few times over the years but it wasn't until his pops PJ and I became roommates that Diesel and me became good friends, spending lots of time together in the backyard. Right when I moved to AZ, I was sitting out back with Diesel thinking about life and its contents, when suddenly Diesel began having a seizure. It was quite the shock at the time because I'd never seen anything like that, but I just held onto him and prayed to God for it to pass. Eventually it did but I was a bit shaken up. I think for most people who've never experienced having a seizure or someone else having one, its a peculiar experience and most likely frightening. I didn't see Diesel much the next 6 months, but then life took its course, relationships ended as they so often do, and soo enough it was Deez and me chillen on the porch late at night. He was getting sicker at this point. Something was growing in his brain and the frequency of seizures had increased and certain motor functions were beginning to go. Soon enough he could only walk in circles and the medication stopped working. It was at that time, on a day of multiple seizures that PJ and I began dosing Deez with CBD x THC vape hits. We would shotgun hits into his ears and down his nose and man, it really did the trick. He came off the meds and was seizure free up until the end. I was in a dark place, still am to be honest, but at the time there wasn't much hope in me, and it was caring for Diesel and delivering those rips that kept me going and gave me something to live for. Diesel held on for long time, but eventually he was really in bad shape and there was not much we could do for him. It was on a sunny afternoon after I'd split for work and right before the hum of PJ's Truck pulled in up front that Diesel left this world for the next one. Every time I left the house for work, I always said goodbye, but that day, caught up in my own shit, I forgot to say peace. Always make an effort to be there for the ones you love. I know Diesel didn't take it personally, and that he held on just long enough to be sure that PJ made it home safe. My goal was to have this project done before Diesel left, and I did just that. Thank you God. Thank you Diesel. Thank you to all those who've read this and will make sure to have that final goodbye. Love you Deez.
